Our Daughter.........

Peyton Lola Smith

She is 2 years old. She is a mixure of Rottweiler and Golden Retriever and weight approx 65-70 pounds. Her estimated date of birth is somtime in the fall.. so we decided to have her birthday October 4, 2006. We can celebrate it every year on that date. She loves people, children and even other dogs and cats! She never barks! (I don't even know if she know's how.)

We adopted her on Saturday, October 4 around noon. She was the first dog we saw and we instantly fell in love with her!

She is defintly a daddy's girl! (She follows him wherever he goes)

While she was at the Dumb Friends League we think she developed "Kennels Cough." It's basically a cold. (Humans can't get it) We are taking her back to be looked at and get treated with antibiotics. I want my baby to be healthy:(

My sister, who lives in Maryland has 2 dogs so I have been calling her ALOT these past 2 days! Her and her husband are like "dog experts."

Adjusting to a new dog is fun but some work. We have to take her out rain or shine. Make sure she has the best of food and water and treats. And most important, to give her a loving, caring and healthy enviroment. It sure is expensive caring for a dog! Especially for the first time.

But we love her and won't have it any other way!
